Administering a Calendar server

Converting a calendar database (5)

If your calendar database was created under SCO Portfolio version 1.0.1 or earlier, you must convert it to the format used by SCO OpenServer Release 5. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Use the Calendar Administration menu's option 8 (described in ``Pausing and resuming the server (8)'') to pause the server processes.

  2. Select option 5 from the Calendar Administration menu.

  3. Enter the pathname of the database you are converting (the source database) or enter q to quit. The default value is /usr/lib/sco/oadb/caldata; to accept this value, press <Return> without entering a pathname.

  4. Enter the pathname of the new database location (the destination database) or enter q to quit. The default value is /usr/lib/sco/oadb/caldata; to accept this value, press <Return> without entering a pathname.
After your database is converted, you can access it with the Calendar client.
